In my post on February 18, 2011, I discussed whether an illegal resident could get a marriage license in Arizona. If SB 1611 passes, it will, among other things, require proof of legal status to obtain any sort of Arizona license, including a marriage license.
Some are calling SB 1611 “SB 1070 on steroids.” Keep your eye on this one. It is sure to create a stir and to bring more national attention to the difficult immigration issues facing border states like ours.
